The US authorities put India on this list of countries that do not cooperate properly with the extradition process.


Apart from India, the list includes Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and Venezuela. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has included India on the list of ‘uncooperative’ countries.

The mentioned countries have failed to provide the necessary assistance in conducting interviews, issuing travel documents on time and repatriating their citizens on scheduled flights, ICE said.

In addition, there are plans to deport 1.45 million illegal immigrants from the US. Of these, 18,000 immigrants are Indians.
