Syria has finally been freed from tyranny, and since then this holy land has come into the spotlight again.

Throughout the history and future of Islam, several important signs of the Day of Judgment will even occur in this holy land. And this region is gradually preparing to reveal the signs of the Day of Judgment.


One of which is the arrival of Jesus (peace be upon him). Jesus (peace be upon him) will return to the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria. The Ashram or Bilad Ashram, which consists of present-day Syria, Jordan and the entire Palestine, has been declared holy by Allah. And very soon Jesus (peace be upon him) will return to the world next to the white minaret of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria.


From the narrations of various hadiths, it is known that before the arrival of Jesus (peace be upon him), Imam Mahdi and Dajjal will already come to the world. A large part of Muslims will continue to fight against Dajjal, Muslims will become very tired of fighting against Dajjal and will become very sad.


Imam Mahdi and his soldiers will be stationed inside Damascus and outside Damascus, Dajjal and his soldiers will surround him. At night, Imam Mahdi will decide that Muslims will not sit like this anymore and will face Dajjal directly and the next day the gates of Damascus will be opened.


The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the next morning, Muslims will stand behind Imam Mahdi for the Fajr prayer, the Iqamah will be given and then suddenly all around will be plunged into darkness, so dark that a person will not be able to see his own hand, at that time, Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will return from the white minaret of Damascus on the shoulders of two angels.


The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "How will it be on the day when your Imam will be among you and Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will be among you. No one may say it, but everyone present will understand that Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has returned to the earth and will wipe away the tears of the Muslims.


" When he gives them the good news of Paradise, Imam Mahdi will go away and request Jesus (peace be upon him) to lead the prayer, but Jesus (peace be upon him) will say that the Iqamah has been given for you, you lead the prayer, I have come for another purpose. Jesus (peace be upon him) will offer the Fajr prayer behind Imam Mahdi, meaning that a prophet of Allah will stand behind the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). 

And in this, the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) has been honored. After the prayer, Jesus (peace be upon him) will say that the gates of Damascus will be opened when the Dajjal sees Jesus (peace be upon him). He will melt like salt melts in water. Jesus (peace be upon him) will chase the Dajjal and kill him in front of everyone.

He will say to the followers of the Dajjal, if this is your god, how did I kill him? According to some narrations, then he will rule for seven years. According to many scholars, the white minaret of Damascus mentioned in the hadith is the white minaret of the Umayyad Mosque.

When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) narrated this hadith, there was no white minaret in Damascus, but now there is. And the white minaret of the Umayyad Mosque can be seen from a long distance.


The Syrian rebels celebrated in this  after capturing Damascus, and there may be two reasons behind this celebration. One is that they have been freed from tyranny, and the two mosques are now fully prepared for the arrival of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
